Scott and Bridget are such a fun couple to work with. They are always open for new ideas and are not afraid of color. This valance is in Scott’s home office. Bay windows can seem daunting, but in reality, just about any design style can be adapted to fit in a bay window.
That is a definite advantage of working with Window Accents, we have 20 years of experience in designing, sewing, and installing window treatments. We know what will work and what won’t. As we looked through photos of valances on my ipad, Scott was drawn to this design.
It would fit nicely in the bay and give us the ability to use more than one fabric in the same treatment. The inverted box pleats give a very tailored look, but enough detailing is added to the construction to make it very eye catching. I love the colors of this fabric, very rich and masculine.

We chose the deep chocolate brown for the contrast color and then selected a beautiful olive green for the wall color. I cannot stress strongly enough the need to select a paint color after the fabrics have been chosen. This will ensure that you don’t have to pass on a fabric you really love just because it may not have the same color undertone as your paint.
If in doubt, ask a professional to help with your color selections. It just takes a professional a few moments, but can save you lots of money and time in the long run.
I digress, back to Scott’s office. Having a home office that is decorated well and makes you feel good will help you be more productive and makes working from home that much better. Get to work, Scott!
