We love Before & After photos.

And apparently you do too – by request we are re-posting these photos today showing a window shape transformation  – via the window treatment.

Take a look at the Before shot:

Before Window Shape Transformation

In this Before photograph of the bedroom window, or sitting area, you will notice the three rectangular windows looking out over the backyard. The view is nice but there is nothing very special or notably different with these three rectangular windows. Our client wanted to add a bit of elegance and drama to this feature of the bedroom, so creativity was the order of the day.

We worked with this client before in couple of areas of the home and were very excited to be able to design something unique for her again.

Thinking outside the box, we designed Cornice boards for this window treatment in an arch, causing the shape of the window to change through perception. Curtain panels were gathered at the top and attached to the Cornices; bead trim was also added. These window treatments transformed the shape of the window and the whole persona of the sitting area.

Here is the After photo:

We love the dramatic change!

Often creativity and visualization of ideas can come very easily to the designer but are sometimes hard for the client to “see”. Because of this, during in-home consultations, Kim will provide drawings and photos just like these, to help with that process. You will feel totally confident that your new window treatment has that special look you desire, whether it’s a new cornice board, a valance, swags, shutters, curtains, blinds, sheers, shades, or any combination, for any decor. Custom window treatments are made just for you and your style using decorator fabric and trim combinations that are truly one of a kind.
